Self Advocacy Classes
This class was designed to assist high school kids in transition and adults with learning self advocacy skills. We have broadened the topic to include topics for all adults. We offer this class quarterly or whenever there is enough interest. We suggest groups of 10 or less and cover the following topics:
- What is self advocacy?
- Why is it important?
- How do I become a good self advocate?
- Role playing
- Preparing for Service Plans or meetings
If you or someone you know would like to participate or be a guest speaker for one of our classes, please call our office to inquire.
