Disabilities we serve
We offer a variety of assistance for individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) and their families in Adams County. I/DD is characterized by significant limitations in cognitive functioning and/or adaptive behavior (daily living skills). This is measured by by IQ and/or adaptive skills of 70 or below prior to the age of 22. Arc of Adams County is an advocacy organization and not a legal service.

Qualifying for advocacy services
Documentation through evaluations or assessments is needed to demonstrate cognitive and/or adaptive skills of 70 or below. Disability
Categories on IEP's that quality as I/DD:
Developmental Delay (age 8 and younger) - if cognitive/adaptive skills are identified
Other - when IQ and/or adaptive skills are 70 or below:
Autism Spectrum Disorder
Other Health Impairment
